For posting the information about the updated version of the MostionEye OS

I have been trying to build a MotionEyeOS for a while, I would like to run the Raspberry Pi Software for a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W PCB.
I have been having problems trying to get the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W PCB to function because I’m not sure which version of Software I should download from the GitHub.

I’m mainly home bound due to ill health and suffering from a stroke, I’m also 70 years old and do find some projects, difficult to follow.
Hopefully I will be able to follow your new instructions and have success with this project.
Once again a big thank you to both you David, Sara.

MotioneyeOS hasn’t been maintained for a very long time. Over at PiMyLifeUp there is a nice up to date tutorial on how to set up a security system using Pi’s and the current Pi OS. Here is a link: pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-security-camera/
Cheers,
David Rapp

Hi.
You can manually change the name of the file after creating it.
You can remove the .txt afterwards.

Sara

I’m using the MotionEyeOS on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W PCB

In this document, it mentions about a Wpa Supplicant file and using Note Pad, I typed out the following information below, the information tells you the following “Important: when you save the file ensure it is Wpa_supplicant.conf and not Wpa_supplicant.conf.txt as this will not work!
Copy your Wpa_supplicant.conf file to the root of the SD card.”

When I try and save the file in Note Pad, it will only allow me to save as type “Text documents (*.txt) I’m not sure how to change this.

country=UK
update_config=1
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant

network={
ssid=”extn2″
psk=”your-password”
id_str=”extn2″

My RPi 3B+ has decided to end its life. I reinstalled “MotionEyeOS” on the RPi3B and three RPiZeroW according to your instructions, and great, everything worked the first time. Thank you and I wish you a lot of enthusiasm and health.

If this is true, do you still recommend this solution, or do you recommend an actively supported alternative?
