Hi.
What kind of hardware are you interested in?
We still haven’t had time to play much with the Arduino Uno Q.

Sara

How about a tutorial on interfacing the Uno Q to some hardware?

Have discovered the following information concerning the Uno Q:

(1) when interfacing with another board, it should be a 3.3V device, using a supply voltage of 3.3V from the Uno Q. Otherwise you risk damaging the Uno Q.

(2) When using I2C use the pins labelled “SDA” & “SCL” & NOT A4 & A5.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your very useful articles & look forward to reading many more.

Alan

Hi Alex, I also have the 4GB Uno-Q. I tried all operating modes: connect to PC, wireless, and standalone SBC, plus several of the builtin examples.
They all worked fine initially (which is a good sign), but I also had the problem of no audio to my BT headset when in SBC mode. It also would not recognize my USB camera. I have no solution.

Unfortunately, the 2nd time I tried SBC mode, the Q would not recognize the mouse or keyboard, so I am stymied on how to proceed. I think the Q firmware must still be in beta mode.

Hi.
I’m not sure how to fix that issue as we haven’t played with audio on the Arduino Uno Q yet.
Maybe it’s better to try to find help on the Arduino forum.
Then, tell me if you find a solution.

Sara

It connected to my USB-C HUB powered by my cell phone power supply, added the blue tooth dongle for mouse and keyboard and plugged the HDMI cable into a TV for a screen. It booted and I logged into wifi and set my passcode for start-up. Used the browser (DuckDuckGo) to access youtube, but there is no audio. Connected with bluetooth to my Sony headset, and even though it connected fine, no audio. I am new to linux. Am I missing a step? Any help or direction would be appreciated.

I just bought one and got it yesterday. It is very nice. Super easy start up.

I only have one problem I have not yet found a solution to. I cannot get any audio to play when using it as a single board computer and watching Youtube videos. Using a USB-C hub and a HDMI TV, I thought there would just be audio… nope. I tried connecting by bluetooth to my headset that I use with my phone. Connected just fine, but still no audio.

Anyone have any ideas?

For someone who does not have a computer at all, it allows them to use a simple HDMI TV display (practically free today) along with a USB-C Hub ($20) and your cell phone charger to set-up and program. Under $80 for a complete development package starting point. That is amazing. Using the built in software and nothing else, the basics can be learned and explored.

I teach a private school robotics club. We use the Micro-bit controllers to teach kids from 5th grade to 8th grade how to program in scratch. We use Lego Mindstorms EV3 sets to teach them real robot building and autonomous operations. I think that the Arduino Q may be the next level of integrating AI control with an EV3 shield to power their same robots with a far more capable system that can do so much more.
