In the case of InfluxDB if you want to access it outside your network, you need to install it on an external Linux server.

Thank you for the links to the IoT projects. I apologise, I assumed they were for local publishing. I will take a look at the InfluxDB article as this is what I am running locally.
Any thoughts about using a phone as a display and not over the internet? 🙂

Happy New year and congratulations on your fantastic news, wish you luck and every happiness with your (expanding) family 🙂

A big thank you for all the hard work, the quality is fantastic and has been a great help to me.

For ideas on new projects I would like to see some examples of displaying the data created in my projects to other places. I have a current project of collecting data (temperatures, pressures, etc) and would like to display them on a mobile phone. My requirement is for displaying engine data on a 1986 motorbike. There is no room for a separate display and using the display I already have would be great and also be the case for a lot of other projects. This also goes to viewing data across the internet, I have several projects where I can see webservers on a local network, but pushing this to somewhere and be safe would be great.
